The world has been changing rapidly in the last couple of years regarding gender, identity, social roles, sexuality, professional and social boundaries, and equality. All of this can appear and feel extremely complex to navigate. Being a male, regardless of sexual orientation, comes with its own set of complexities that can feel bewildering.

I have extensive experience counseling male individuals in helping them cultivate a greater sense of self. From a more grounded foundation, one can then have a better understanding of their wants and the capacity to make these wants a reality.

Counseling for the unique needs of men has largely been ignored for a variety of reasons, but there has been one overarching theme – the perception and stigma that seeking emotional support is a sign of weakness.

Clearly this view is changing dramatically in recent years, however, the therapeutic resources to meet this growing interest among men is lagging far behind. My role as a therapist and collectively with the Men’s Therapy Directory is to fill this need.

My therapeutic approach stems from a humanistic model, which emphasizes awareness and mindfulness as means for easing emotional pain and struggle, as well as enhancing one’s ability to make changes for personal growth.
